European DJs get their dose of ALPHA DOG too!
Following its digital release due to unprecedented US promo, UK label DMC
have now picked up Alpha Dog to promote in Europe! This is the latest
development to the song's already curious history that began with its
inclusion on the "So Much More..." EP. The new Phunkstar Radio Mix
of Alpha Dog will be featured on DMC's latest DJ Only compilation released
tomorrow 28th July.

US DJs DEMAND ALPHA DOG REMIX SINGLE
Following its release on the "So Much More..." EP,
the song "Alpha Dog" by British artist Bentley Jones has garnered
considerable attention from DJs in Los Angeles and New York. So much so that
a full promo single has been demanded featuring brand new remixes.
The promo - which will also be available digitally on July 5th -
contains the new Phunkstar versions, a brand made famous for
Bentley's previous remixes for Beyonce, Britney Spears, Cheryl Cole, Whitney
Houston and more.
Alpha Dog's sensation follows Bentley's successful signing to the Max
Steiner Agency in Hollywood, who are currently managing his artist work
in the US as well as his TV, film and video-game representation for the rest
of the world.

New GLAMOROUS SKY (HYBRID Versions) now on YouTube!
Following the success of his MCM Expo concerts, Bentley and his guitarist Nick Jennison decided to produce a studio recording of the live version of GLAMOROUS SKY from Bentley's album "TRANS//LATION". Dubbed the "HYBRID" versions due to combining old and new elements, both the English and Japanese incarnations are now available to preview on Bentley's YouTube Channel!

WE Я ANIMADE unveiled at biggest MCM
Expo Concert ever!
Further details of Bentley's new project "WE Я ANIMADE" have been revealed. The album marks a new Japanese deal following his debut album TRANS//LATION which spawned the top 5 single FINAL NIGHT, and Bentley has promised that "fans of anisong are going to be blown away. We're giving them complete control of the project - right down to the final track list." The album is due to be unveiled this weekend at the MCM Expo in London to an expected audience of 30,000 and fans can anticipate songs from NARUTO, K-ON!, Macross Frontier and Neon Genesis EVANGELION as well as a couple of Bentley's own songs from Sonic & SEGA All-stars Racing and TRANS//LATION. A mysterious new trailer has appeared on Bentley's official YouTube introducing his new project "WE Я ANIMADE" and a strange animated character Bentley refers to as "Ben-chan". No details about the project have been announced, however Bentley will be revealing everything at the London MCM Expo on 29th and 30th May with a live performance set to be the biggest the expo has ever seen. Taken from Bentley's official blog, below is a statement
regarding his work with Sonic Team;
"It disappoints me to announce that the latest SEGA / Wave-Master releases
relating to the Sonic series have proceeded without my consent, approval or
notification. Specifically regarding the “True Colors” album, I wish to
stress that I have not paid any direct contribution to its production at any
point and is therefore not an accurate representation of my work.
Furthermore; the music, vocals, production, engineering and my likeness(es)
that appear on these albums do so without my permission, proper crediting
and, in some instances, by breaching the copyrights of my work.
The royalties that I would normally be entitled to for any music that I have
written have been denied, and so the only people who have been profiting
from the exploitation of me and my music are SEGA.
The delay in issuing this statement has been due to legal investigations,
and because of ongoing inquiries it may not be possible to comment on this
area of my work through any medium: my sincerest apologies to the fans.
Under protest, I will not list nor promote these albums as I do not consider
them to be official additions to my discography.
I hope that my fans will understand and sympathise with this situation and I

"FINAL NIGHT (Remixes)" to take over UK and Japanese dancefloorsBentley's debut Japanese single 素直になれたら ～FINAL NIGHT～ is being re-released as a club promo single featuring two brand new remixes of the song! The single will be promoted to club and radio DJs in Japan on July 17th (tentative), but also in the UK on July 30th, marking the first cross-over promotion of Bentley's debut Japanese album "TRANS//LATION".

Promageddon Update: Erm... still 1 week to go!Gaia Online's "Promageddon" event has been pushed back again to May 28th ending on June 4th, with the pre-event celebrations beginning tomorrow (May 20th). Bentley commented:
"I want to apologise for these mis-announcements, we are simply passing on information that has been given to us. At least with the event being pushed back you'll have more time to prepare for the Prom (as opposed to it being brought forward and everyone missing it!!). So, again, sincerest apologies and looking forward to seeing some of you online next week!"
It seems we got a little over excited..! Due to extended preparations we've just informed that the Gaia Online event "Promageddon" (see below) is now scheduled to begin on Monday May 25th, along with the dance event featuring Bentley's new tracks. In the meantime, you've still got a little time to find your perfect prom outfit and find yourself a date!

Bentley to be special guest at Gaia Online's "Promageddon"
The anime-themed social network Gaia Online is hosting "Promageddon" - a week-long event where all 7 million members of Gaia can participate. At the centre of the fun are games and quests and the soundtrack to one of them will be 3 (yes 3) brand new original tracks from Bentley! The event kicks off this Monday (18th May).
